Description

Behind the curtain of an internet blackout, the Islamic Republic’s security forces have killed at least 180 unarmed protesters.

Natalie Kitroeff speaks to Farnaz Fassihi about Iran’s deadliest political unrest in decades and why the United States wanted that unrest — and has helped fuel it.

Guest: Farnaz Fassihi, a reporter covering Iran for The New York Times, in conversation with Natalie Kitroeff. For more information on today’s episode, visit nytimes.com/thedaily.

What would you do if a group of people take up arms against you? well, that's simple logic, when one aims a gun at you, you would be better off to kill him/her first. The same holds for Iran. If Israel can brutally (and justifiably) mass murder lightly armed Palestinians, then iran can do the same (and who cares, may be more)

I listen to your podcast almost every second day from Iran. I am not a fan of the Iranian regime but from what I listened to with your correspondent on Iran expert made me wonder if all your news and podcasts are this biased and one sided. it was a violent crack down, yes and it was more in the suberbs of big cities, yes. But it was not mainly political and it was far from a mass murder described. Also I was amazed how Farnaz was stuck between being anti Iranian establishment and being a typical liberal far from the real Iran today. sorry for the NYT

if you want to know how demented liberals are look no further than the reporting from the NYT. basically saying "yhe Iranians ppl dont know what's good for them, it's the US's fault for instigating and we should have know the sanctions would lead to protesters being shot.." you people are really sick with TDS
