my concern with allowing the govt to regulate speech on social media is that the general trend towards removing adult content from platforms (see Tumblr) would escalate. This can be dangerous for sex workers especially, who lose the ability to vet clients and stay safe(r). Looking at where our democracy is now for minority groups (trans people, immigrants, Muslims especially) I have lost faith in the ability of the government to adequately protect us.
