Paul is mentoring Timothy and brings solid exhortations to help Timothy grow in his faith. Physical training has some value, but the pursuit of godliness offers even greater and eternal significance. Don't let anyone look down upon you because of your age, but set an example. Be purposeful in your spiritual growth and make it a priority.
