A Patient’s Perspective on Treatment, Recovery and Ending the Stigma

We sit down with Sean Cuddihy from Room 9 to discuss his experience while going through treatment, his journey with recovery and his focus on collaborating to end the stigma around mental health and substance use. Sean founded Room 9 in 2018 when he was at Horizon Village for heroin use. He titled it Room 9 because 9 was his room number. He had many late night conversations with his roommate at the time and saw an opportunity to speak to those who were struggling with mental health and substance use along with the people and organizations who are assisting those struggling.
