A chat with 2 of the founding members of the T'Arts - Textile and Arts Collective Gallery
This podcast is a chat with two of the founding members of
T'Arts – Textile and Arts Collective Gallery Fiona Trueman and Sandra Treadwell
We chat about how an Arts Collective works, how it was founded and the journey that this particular gallery has travelled.
“There’s nothing like us!
We are an artists collective located at:
10G Gays Arcade in the beautiful vintage Adelaide Arcade, Adelaide, South Australia.
More than 30 artists and designers of Adelaide with a sprinkle from interstate, working together as a collective. Started in 2003 as a place for textile artists to support each other and have a space to showcase their wares. Soon after these founding members decided to invite various artists from other mediums to join. Over the years there have been artists moving to other pastures and places are filled quickly. Our front windows have monthly rotating window exhibition featuring our member artist of the month.
You will always meet an artist when you visit the gallery as it is totally managed and staffed by members.”

“I really enjoyed learning about how this gallery started, how a true collective works and the chat with two of the founders Fiona and Sandra. It was a lot of fun. The T’Arts Gallery is truely a beautiful space filled with artwork, handmade gifts and designs where you can chat with an artist that will be on duty when you visit.”
