Description

DISCLAIMER: I am no medical doctor, I'm just your normal Jo Bloggs who's sharing her lived experiences with Autism that was called Aspergers. If you see any warning signs/symptoms that may be related to any of the topics I share as of in the future, please seek a second opinion or treatment with a   medical professional. What I share with you in how I go about managing my autism will vary from person to person and that what may work for me, may not work for you and what will work for you may not work for me and vice versa. So, please be considerate while I give you all my advice and/or tips.

Life can be challenging for autistic children at any given age, stage, and time while transitioning especially after being diagnosed with autism.  The most important thing a parent can do is assess their child, have it diagnosed early in the child’s life, and find helpful and respectful treatment for the child. As they say the earlier the better you do this, the easier it is to find the right treatments and methods, etc for a child. The following video, the podcast is an informational guideline for assessing your child. You as a parent, you can begin assessing your child at home as early as one year old, but as your child ages and matures, the characteristics of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be more apparent earlier or later in life. There are two methods to follow and they are method one is observing and assessing your child and method two is looking for the signs of ASD. Method 1 Observing and Assessing Your Child and Method 2: Method 2:  Looking for Signs of ASD.
