AI’s impact on life and labor
Update: 2023-09-06
Description
It has been a big summer for labor organizing. SAG-AFTRA is on strike, the Teamsters reached a contract with UPS, and the UAW and Big 3 are at the negotiation table. A part of many labor conversations is the impact artificial intelligence will have on industries, workers and people's lives. Wayne State Professor Marick Masters and Brookings Senior Fellow Darrell West discuss AI’s growth in industry. Later in the show, Detroit’s Deputy Chief Mobility Officer Tony Geara joins to talk about the city’s new self-driving shuttle pilot.
