Adore the King of Peace
Description
“For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:6-7 NASB
“Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.” John 14:27 NASB
How Does Jesus Give Us His Peace?
- Upward peace
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” Romans 5:1 NASB
- Inward peace
“May the Lord of peace himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 CSB
“You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you.” Isaiah 26:3 CSB
- Outward peace
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians 3:13-15 NLT
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:18 NIV
