Description

Early results in Senegal’s election on Sunday indicate the ruling Pastef party is likely to win a solid majority in parliament. The global climate change conference, COP29, entered its final week today in Azerbaijan, with no clear path on an agreement for financing to battle climate change. Heads of state of the Southern African Development Community regional bloc, SADC, are due to meet this week in Zimbabwe on post-election violence in neighboring Mozambique, where the political opposition is disputing poll results.
