Description

Breaking down the double-header as Utah State men's basketball remained undefeated (4-0) after its defense stifled UTEP in a dominant 75-51 victory Saturday afternoon at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Senior forward Garry Clark led the Aggies with his third double-double of the season, posting 20 points and 13 rebounds as USU forced 16 turnovers and held the Miners to just 37% shooting. Then Utah State football fell in double overtime at UNLV Saturday night, losing 29-26 after the Rebels scored a game-winning touchdown on their final possession. Quarterback Bryson Barnes led the Aggies with a dual-threat performance, recording 256 passing yards and 113 rushing yards, becoming one of just six Mountain West quarterbacks all-time with multiple 250-yard passing and 100-yard rushing games. The Aggies missed two potential game-winning field goals, including a 44-yarder in the final minute of regulation and a 41-yard attempt in the first overtime period. Hear reactions from both head coaches, players and fans.
