Steve McMahon played for Liverpool FC from 1985 to 1991, becoming Kenny Dalglish’s first signing. A tough, combative midfielder, he made 277 appearances and scored 50 goals. McMahon was key to Liverpool’s success during the late 1980s, helping the club win three First Division titles (1985–86, 1987–88, 1989–90) and two FA Cups (1986, 1989). Known for his leadership and energy, he famously scored four goals in a single League Cup match against Fulham. He left the club in December 1991 to join Manchester City, leaving behind a legacy as one of Liverpool’s most influential midfielders of the era.
