Description

The raw and vulnerable thoughts from the perspective of an adoptee on Mother's Day.

As an adoptee I have always been challenged and triggered by Mother's Day and my birthday because these are the days I think about my birthmother the most. To this day she still feels like the missing piece in my life. I have felt caught in the middle with my "adoptee guilt" of not wanting to offend or disappoint my parents yet I have always longed for the love and approval of a woman I have yet to meet.

To my fellow adoptees: you are loved, you are worthy, you are enough.
