Anxiety is largely Unconscious
In this 16 mins presentation I talk about Anxiety states being a failure of unconscious regulation by the pre-frontal cortex (part of your thinking brain).
Much of who we are is body-based and it is a bottom up process that creates unconscious threat from past experience.
By understanding how these states appear and how to build an internal sense of yourself as safe NOW, these bottom up processes are able to talk to your unconscious emotional/survival brain via the autonomic nervous system.
There is hope for healing anxiety, but it is body-based not cognitive.
