In this episode, we will explore Arctic Tipping Points, discussing, among other things, the loss of the Greenland Ice Sheet, the impacts on the Arctic ecosystem, and changes in atmospheric circulation.

Our panelists include:

  • Stefan Rahmstorf: Professor of Physics of the Oceans at the University of Potsdam, Germany
  • Antje Boetius: Director, Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, Germany
  • Halldór Björnsson: Head of the Atmospheric Research Group at the Icelandic Meteorological Office

The discussion and following Q&A with the audience are moderated by Brynhildur Davíðsdóttir, Professor of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland.

This panel originally took place the 2019 Arctic Circle Assembly.
