As the regulators and governments begin to consider of the emerging use cases for cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets, the Web3 space is certainly evolving and raising eyebrows globally.
The Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) of Dubai recently issued Virtual Assets and Related Activities Regulations 2023. This is designed to be a comprehensive Virtual Asset (VA) Framework built on principles of economic sustainability and cross-border financial security.
Alongside this, the Securities Commodities Authority (SCA) also issued a framework concerning the Regulation of Virtual Assets and their Service Providers.
In this regulatory-infused discussion, this was led and moderated by crypto lawyer, Irina Heaver alongside the following panelists:
