As teams across both the American and National leagues clinch their playoff berths, the Astros are still in contention for a playoff spot, with time now racing against them, as only one final series remains in the season. Losing their last 5 games, the Stros slip out of first place as the Mariners go on to take the Division for the first time since 2001. Set to take on the Angels in their last series of the season and set to conclude their series against the Athletics this afternoon, the Astros must win 3 of their last 4 games, along with some help from a couple of other teams, to have a chance at making the Wild Card round. With playoff spots filling left and right, Astros GM Dana Brown weighs in, a bit optimistic for the Astros and their 2025 season.
