Auburns defensive coordinator, DJ Durkin, has signed a new contract, extending his stay until 2029. Despite the extension, he wont see a pay raise, earning $2.7 million in 2026 and $2.5 million in 2025. Head coach Alex Golesh praised Durkin, calling him one of the best football minds in the country. Durkin joined the staff in 2024, with the defense showing improvement under his interim leadership, though results were mixed in his first year.
