Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders [viewers, listeners, readers] are advised that the following program may contain voices or discussions of people who may have passed away

In this episode, we are honoured to have lived experience Indigenous educators, Ethan Chadd & Jonathan Ford, answering the hard and uncomfortable questions about what Australia Day means to indigenous Australians.
-  the significance of the date for Aboriginal Australia, why it’s it’s dubbed Survival Day and the point of view that acknowledgment of what took place is important for all Australians
- 1905 act
- The benefit of Reconciliation Action Plans
- What we can do to become culturally aware
⁃ The historical reluctance to acknowledge Aboriginal culture and history and the changes that have been made to that in the last 5 years
⁃ Small things people and workplaces can do to acknowledge Aboriginal people and encourage Indigenous employment
⁃ The difficulty in Indigenous education in schools because of the brutal nature of what happened......and so much more.
This was everything you may need to start a gracious conversation about something so important.
My eyes were opened and my heart was heavy. A mammoth podcast with so much information. Thank you endlessly to Ethan and Jonathan for having to retell such a heartbreaking history.
