Russian air defences downed an Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Kazakhstan, killing 38 people, four sources have told Reuters. South Korea has plunged deeper into political chaos after its parliament impeached acting President Han Duck-soo. We hear from a mother who lost her son in the Indian Ocean tsunami, 20 years since the disaster killed 230,000 people. And in Los Angeles, the city is taking a different approach to the issue of homelessness, moving thousands of people into hotel rooms or shelters.
