B'resheit: Created in His Image
Description
B'resheit: Created in His Image
The opening portion of Genesis reveals Yahweh's blueprint for dwelling with humanity. When Elohim declared, "Let Us make man in Our image," He established something extraordinary. The Hebrew word tselem (image) carries the meaning of shadow or representative figure, indicating we were designed to reflect His character and presence on earth.
This divine architecture unfolds through the Mishkan's construction, where Bezalel (literally "in the shadow of Elohim") and Oholiab represent all tribes working together to build Yahweh's dwelling place. Their names prophetically speak of divine light, purity, and praise.
The messianic fulfillment emerges through Yeshua, described as "the visible image of the invisible Elohim." As the Last Adam, Mashiach restores what the first Adam lost. Through His obedience and sacrifice, we who were separated by sin are brought back into covenant relationship with our Creator.
This transformation process continues as we walk in Yeshua's footsteps, being renewed according to His image. The prophetic vision shows us moving from glory to glory, ultimately fulfilling Yahweh's original desire to dwell within us in perfect unity.
