On today’s show we have a new project we will be talking about, BMF project authority. Build an authority site not a niche site. Scott lays out a 12 step process that we can all follow to help us build an authority site. Jim as a case study will start an authority site. We will work hand in hand with Scott, he will explain in great detail over the next several weeks how to make this happen.

Brain storming your idea is the starting part for this project. We spend a majority of or time on brainstorming in this session. You want to start with things you really like talking about. Then move on to thing you know a lot about, like a job you have had. Think of solutions to a problem you have recently had, or problems of friends and family. Shoot for 30 or 40 ideas. Now that you have this list we have to knock it down to 10. Next Scott talks about market research to make sure there are people this market you are looking to get into. Amazon, EBay and Kindle Books are the places he will have you go. Now that you have made sure there is a market for your last 10 ideas that should have knocked it down to 1 or 2 you just have to choose the one you like best from there. Create a simple blog to start creating content for you authority site. Looking into face book and other sites similar to the one you are starting and see what topics people are talking about. Once you see what people are talking about you can create your free offer. As we have talked about in the past next is the auto responder and create a landing page. Now that you are ready to collect email addresses it is time to go get them. Create a Facebook PPC campaign and spend about $100 to get our list started instead of trying to what for people to find you through the search engines. Last is continue to interact with your list sending great tips and surveys and questions to interact with them on a regular bases, keep them engaged.
