Member of the Elsipogtog community of the Mi'kmaq First Nation in New Brunswick in Canada, Brian J. Francis is a film director, painter, writer, and music producer.
From growing up in his native community to the exploration of the cultural renaissance of his nation through music and filmmaking, Brian tells us how his traditions and ceremonies (especially the Sundance ceremony) helped him to understand his identity and the necessity to share and transmit the Mi’Kmawq culture.
