Photo Credit: Larry Horricks for Lionsgate</figcaption></figure>The new version of The Crow that’s in theaters now is technically a reboot of the original series, which began with the late Brandon Lee starring in The Crow back in 1994. But the original series, consisting of four films between ’94 and 2005, felt more like a series of reboots than actual sequels, since they usually didn’t share characters or actors with the other films.
The same is true of the new reboot: While it may hew closely to the source material used for the 1994 film, the characters have changed and, of course, there’s an entirely new cast. Bill Skarsgard stars as Eric (and his alter ego, The Crow), said he was extremely impressed by the group put together by director Rupert Sanders, which includes British singer FKA Twigs and Danny Huston. The Crow is now playing in theaters.
