Jared gets into a funny review of the pop culture stories that have him fired up, including a Page Six headline about Nicole Kidman needing a break from filming sex scenes due to "fake orgasm exhaustion" for her upcoming film Baby Girl. He dissects the headline’s absurdity, diving into the world of PR spin and questioning the authenticity behind some of these attention-grabbing stories. Of course, Jared can’t help but offer his unfiltered opinion on the entire Hollywood machine and the PR games that fuel these narratives.

Jared goes on to talk about how celebrities manage their image, particularly through the PR lens, and uses Blake Lively as a case study! Jared discusses how Blake Lively handled the promotion of a movie with sensitive topics, like domestic violence, and how her response seemed disconnected from those issues, impacting her public image. 

He points out that after the negative response, there appears to be a concerted effort by her PR team to shift the narrative with stories that paint her as relatable and down-to-earth. Jared humorously analyzes headlines like “Blake Lively waited like a normal person for a table at a NYC hotspot” and her interaction with HGTV stars, Chip and Joanna Gaines, calling them “too convenient” and clearly part of a strategy to boost her “Q rating”—a measurement of public likeability.

Jared also reflects on his own proximity to Don Angie, the restaurant featured in one of these stories, and how the descriptions in the press are designed to make Blake seem like “just one of us,” eating large portions and mingling with fans. He even jokes about Blake being portrayed as someone who enjoys “fun cocktails” and lasagna, like any other New Yorker, calling it a calculated PR move 😅

In closing, Jared transitions into another piece of celebrity news, covering a red carpet event where Huma Abedin, now engaged to Alex Soros, caught everyone’s attention with her jewels, but he quickly returns to how stars like Blake use the media to control public perception.
