Jackson Purchase Distillery has been elevated to Heritage Member status by the KDA, and Sazerac Company has filed a lawsuit over counterfeit bourbon sold through fake social media accounts. Uncle Nearest faces a $100 million lawsuit from its primary lender, and Copper & Kings has been acquired by Louisville-based Bourdon Spirits Company. Plus, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival and National Bourbon Week have announced their 2026 dates, Sagamore Spirit joins the BMW Championship as preferred whiskey sponsor, and Q2 financial results are in for Campari Group, Diageo, and MGP Ingredients.
