Description

Breckenridge town council member Dick Carleton, former owner of Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant and Cantina and Hearthstone Catering, received the Colorado Restaurant Association’s Richard P. Ayers Award for Distinguished Service on Monday, Nov. 10.

The award is given to one recipient each year who is considered an outstanding restaurant operator in Colorado. According to a Facebook post from Rep. Julie McCluskie, it is the highest achievement from the Colorado Restaurant Association.

Council member Jay Beckerman highlighted Carleton’s winning of the award at a Nov. 11 Breckenridge Town Council meeting.

“I think that is a huge achievement, and he deserves a lot of recognition for his distinguished service. … It is given to those who have made a significant and lasting impact, not only on the Colorado Restaurant Association, but on Colorado’s restaurant industry as a whole,” he said.
