Description

The first Unlocking Us podcast is here! Along with the excitement of sending this into the world, I’m feeling equal doses of fear, awkwardness, and vulnerability. In this episode I talk about my strategy for staying in tough first times versus tapping out and shutting down. When we get to the point that we only do things that we’re already good at doing, we stop growing. And truly living.

You're "Sign Off" should be just what you said. "I don't have a fancy sign off,(talk with you next time)." Jesse Thron's sign off for "Bullseye" is "Remember, all great radio hosts have a signature sign off."

"Expectations are resentments waiting to happen." I used to say "Expect nothing, appreciate everything." I still became resentful, them my family said "How can we meet your expectations if you don't share them with is?" There you have it, expectations can only be met if they are voiced.

i don't understand why so much of your first podcast was so much about you and what you were/are going through regardibg the FFT. I would have preferred listening to more about FFT and the pandemic and not so much abour your podcast studio set up. Also it sounds so elitist to reference Nordstrom. Why do that?

Followed you and your work for past 10 years. Your incite and candid connection with us all has been a huge help in helping me in some immense life threatening challenges. Thank you for your persistent effort. Thank you is not enough. Thank you for baring your soul and then showing me how you pick your soul up, dust it off and still leave it bared and brave.

You have inspired me, I can't go to the gym so I jumping way out of my comfort zone and going for an outdoor run (I really like the predictability of my treadmill) here to nothing...

Brene this was very helpful! Totally relatable!! I liked how you spoke in such a linear, concise and relatable way to deal with FFT's. As a result, taking notes was easy to do. I look forward to your future interviews! And hearing the ADs you love!!! Thank you!
