The As designated him for assignment, and he was claimed by the Yankees, then later by the Dodgers, spending the rest of the year in their minor league system.Now a free agent, Alexander, turning twenty-nine next season, is likely to sign a minor league contract. With only twenty-five career big league at-bats, hes still seeking a consistent opportunity, but its unlikely to be with the As again.
