The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) and The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) have announced the first recipients of their Rising Filmmakers Finishing Fund. Beth de Araújo and Ravi Kapoor, writer-directors of Josephine and Patel, respectively, will each receive a $50,000 grant to complete their feature films. The fund, launched in January, supports Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers in their second through fifth feature films, focusing on post-production costs and networking opportunities.
