This week…there’s a shadow fleet of tankers trading the world’s oceans – by some estimates nearly 2,000 tankers, about a fifth of the global tanker fleet. The ships evade international law, break embargoes, and can cause economic and ecological havoc. Michelle Wiese Bockmann is an expert on the deceptions, and she’ll join us to talk about the strategic and security threats this growing fleet poses to worldwide security.
