Last week, we talked about the KJV Only movement—the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This week, we pivot to the most extreme forms of the movement, exploring the question: what happens when we idolize the Bible? Is it even possible to idolize something that is altogether holy in and of itself?

How can we do a better job of taking the Bible at its own word and on its own terms, rather than forcing the Bible to comply with our definition of what the Bible can be? How can we make sure that the gospel is pre-eminent, even above our own approach to Scripture (as controversial as that may sound). We'll talk about all this and more as we unpack our own journeys through how to engage with Scripture honestly and with integrity.
