Cardinal Timothy Dolan and volunteers from Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York participated in the annual Saint Nicholas Project Shopping Day, shopping for hundreds of strangers during the holiday season. The project, which began in 2011, aims to serve approximately 1,800 people this year, reflecting the daily work of Catholic Charities in helping those in need. The initiative has adapted over the years, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, and includes an Adopt a Family program where individuals and families shop for specific families across New York City.
