Career Changers: Emily & Paul Hughes - from Teaching to supporting PARENTS through their childrens' GCSEs
Description
In this episode I chat to Paul & Emily Hughes - husband and wife who together run the Parent Guide to Education, a membership programme that coaches parents going through GCSE and Post 16 exams with their teens.
Emily and Paul, parents to three children, very honestly share their story of leaving teaching - how they planned for this after Emily experienced work-related depression. This episode not only demonstrates how work can drastically impact mental health but also shows that change IS possible - even when both partners make changes!
the Parent Guide to Education has been an evolution, starting out as educational poster creation, to now fully supporting parents to go from worried and frustrated that they don't know how to help their child during their education, to confident they can handle anything exams throw at them!
Their story is incredibly inspirational - not only to demonstrate career change is possible, but also for parents who will face the exam stages with their children! (so all parents!)
