heard "thongs" and didn't immediately think footwear. I was incredibly confused about why he would have brought them up, until I realized he meant sandals.

How do these total dolts make detective? So many stories feature officers who make absurd deductions based on no evidence. How terrible and endlessly frustrating for the families trying to find answers...

These police shouldn't even investigate missing snacks at snack time in a preschool. I mean...they missed the ongoing rape of a teen under their noses despite the fact that they were told by several friends and family members that he takes the girl to the bedroom and they are missing for hours. A very short correctly worded questioning the teen would've solved this case in the first few days I guess if you want to commit a crime MOVE HERE. 🙄

Gruesome episode. not sure if anyone reads this but that piano background music in the beginning of the episode was so distracting and did not fit the vibe of the show at all. In my opinion. too loud with headphones.

A person doesn't commit suicide by shooting themselves 3 times.

So the cops thought it was a murder - suicide...of course, why wouldn't you first try to bash your bestie's head in and slit her throat (let's not forget about the strangling attempt), only to remember "hey, I've got a gun"?
