Catechesis for Trinity Twenty – October 29, 2025
Description
On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church (Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 .
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains Jesus’ teaching on the marriage feast (St. Matthew 22:1-14), which is the Holy Gospel for the Twentieth Sunday after Trinity.
Learn-by-Heart will include “Thine Honor Rescue, Righteous Lord!” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal), Small Catechism, Introduction and 1st Petition to the Lord’s Prayer and meaning, and 2 Thessalonians 2:13 b-14.
