- Limiting casualisation and contracting
- Allowing for workers to collectively struggle for industry wide standard wages rather than a collective agreement
- Favouring permanent migration over temporary migration, ensuring equal pay for women
- Raising the minimum wage and crucially making bargaining rules fairer
We also discuss how strike action has been a significant tool in improving the rights and conditions of workers across Australia.
And we look at the role the union movement will play in keeping both sides of politics into account in the lead up to next year's election.
