About Our Featured Guest: Maureen Dee was born and raised in Uruguay, South America, and is committed to serving the Hispanic Community. Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Dee facilitated the start of the first Hispanic Urban Minority Alcohol and Drug Abuse Outpatient Program in Ohio (the Hispanic UMADAOP); helped start Hispanic Alliance, Inc., a consortium of Hispanic-serving organizations that promotes community collaboration to secure funding to serve the needs of the Hispanic community; and played an instrumental role in creating and improving many other programs providing substance use and mental health services in the Hispanic/Latinx community. Maureen Dee retired in 2019 from her position as Executive Director of Treatment, Prevention, and Recovery Programs at Catholic Charities Corporation in the Diocese of Cleveland.
