About the Guest:
Dr. Ken Kaufman is a 1993 graduate of Life University School of Chiropractic and the founder of Sarasota Sports Medicine, where he has maintained a thriving private practice in Sarasota, Florida since 1994. With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kaufman has built a reputation as a leader in non-surgical sports injury care and regenerative medicine.
He is the former spring training team chiropractor for the Baltimore Orioles and is now the Pittsburgh Pirates, offering elite-level care inside the professional training room. He is an active member of the Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society and the Florida Chiropractic Association, and has served in advisory roles for the Sarasota Area Sports Alliance and Keiser University’s Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology Program. Dr. Kaufman is also a nationally approved continuing education provider through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
A lifelong athlete raised in Michigan, Dr. Kaufman competed in baseball and water skiing before transitioning into endurance sports, completing numerous marathons and triathlons—including events up to the Half Ironman distance. His personal journey through athletic performance and injury recovery—including multiple herniated discs and spinal stress fractures—has given him an unparalleled perspective when working with injured athletes. He knows firsthand what athletes want most: to get back in the game.
Drawing from decades of experience in both private practice and professional sports, Dr. Kaufman has created a clinic model that mirrors the services and standards found at the highest levels of competition. His comprehensive approach blends chiropractic care, regenerative medicine, and functional rehabilitation under one roof, offering every patient—regardless of their athletic status—access to world-class care.
