Dark rooms are scary. Walk into a dark place and you want to get the light on as soon as you can because you need to see what's around you and where to go. But humans want more than just seeing. We are unique in creation because we long to be part of something greater than ourselves and we believe that there should be ultimate good. That's because we were created in God's image -- He made us for Himself. Within each of us is a longing that only God can satisfy. That is why Christmas is a deeply meaningful holiday. We celebrate the time that God directed his light into our darkness. When Jesus came to us he was the radiance of the glory of God. This series from the beginning of the letter to the Hebrews unpacks all that that means for us.
