In this special intermission of our Chronicles of Mann, we review the great director’s long-awaited return in eight years to the big screen: Ferrari. But oh how the mighty stumble. Was the passion project a case of too much desire with not enough resources? Or did the obsession with the icon blind the auteur in his pursuit of a decent story? We look at the surprising cons and still present pros in Mann’s high-speed biopic.
