Climate Crisis: We're Solving It?!
Description
The climate is a mess. It's hot. There's fires, floods, hurricanes — and we may have even crossed some rather scary climate tipping points. But there is hope. So today, we’re answering your questions about solving the climate crisis. We find out how you can help in the fight against climate change, if carbon offsets are a scam, whether renewables really work and what exciting new technologies could help save the planet. Our guests are Dr. Sven Teske at the University of Technology, Sydney, and Wei Sue, head of strategy at Monash University's Climateworks Center.

This episode was so one-sided. There are certain challenges with the renewables right now. it is impossible to built enough batteries to store electricity for a whole city or country. The other large scale energy storage solutions are also not mature enough yet.
How can you talk about offsetting and not mention geological carbon storage, where CO2 is captured and permanently stored underground in large scales?
You didn't take the low efficiency of oil fired power plants into account. I guess taking that into account makes EVs that run with the electricity produced in those powerplants less efficiemt.
yes we should eat meat not grown in labs real animal meat. we need it to survive. anything that is not in the natural creation order is not good for us. climate change is bullshit it's to raise revenue. electric vehicles are about control. they are worse than combustible engines you need a generator to charge them you need to dig lithium and they are expensive to replace and recycle.
if we go to 0 carbon how do plants grow.
