Description

We’ve flown around the world, and we’ve landed in Kenya…or as you’ll hear we’re actually in Canada for this episode! We’re welcoming Nairobi based artist, DJ, producer and co-founder of Pass Pass, Coco Em. Pass Pass is a platform which was born from the need to bring about equality for touring musicians from Africa and beyond, based on Coco Em's personal experience.

In this episode Coco Em talks to Emily about the shocking moment that happened just before her debut Boiler Room set, the importance of countries in the Global North understanding what goes into booking artists from the Global South and the best places to go in Nairobi for a good night out.
