00:28 X In Haggard’s scullery, Lír laments failing to win Amalthea’s heart despite slaying dragons. Molly suggests kindness, tends a talking cat, and comforts Amalthea, who struggles with her unicorn identity loss.
30:36 XI Lír vows to quietly love Amalthea after slaying an ogre. Schmendrick tires of Haggard’s knowing games. Lír and Amalthea bond over her unicorn struggles; Haggard obsesses over sea-bound unicorns, ruled by the Red Bull.

Main Characters
The Unicorn - Immortal and beautiful, albeit a little vain, she leaves the safety of her forest upon learning that she is the last unicorn in the world, with information about the Red Bull as her only clue.
Schmendrick - A bumbling magician, works at Mommy Fortuna’s carnival, craving real magical power; recognizing the captured Unicorn’s true nature, he frees her and joins her quest. 
Molly Grue - Captain Cully’s common-law wife, eloped with him as a young woman, drawn to his outlaw allure, but ended up cooking for his ragged band, her romantic dreams unfulfilled.
King Haggard - A miserable and cruel ruler who cares for no one, not even his adopted son. His loneliness alleviated only by the sight of unicorns, he wishes to capture all unicorns for his own pleasure, in tandem with the Red Bull.
Prince Lir - Haggard’s adopted son, admires Amalthea, unaware she’s a unicorn, he is tied to a curse and known for charm but passive in his father’s bleak court.
Red Bull - A formidable fiery beast with menacing horns that has chased and charged-down unicorns, driving them into the sea. Only the defeat of the Red Bull can release the captive unicorns.
