U.S. District Court Judge Rules FEMAs BRIC Program Cancellation UnlawfulA U.S. District Court judge has declared FEMAs cancellation of the Building Resilient Infrastructure Communities (BRIC) program unlawful. The BRIC program, which funded infrastructure resilience projects across the country, including over $200 million in North Carolina, was abruptly canceled in April. North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson and 19 other state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against FEMA, arguing that the cancellation was unlawful and that the funds should be used for critical resilience projects.
