Court TV Morning Radio Vinnie Politan interviewed Mark Henkel - Nov 2006
National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on Court TV Morning Radio with Vinnie Politan, on satellite Sirius 110, on November 22, 2006. This was a callback interview (from previous apppearances on the show), following the trial of Warren Jeffs, the cult leader of the FLDS, the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints. Opposing that cult and its leader, Mark Henkel explained how the hearing revealed that the trial was not even about polygamy. Namely, at that time, Jeffs was only charged with forcing the arranged marriage of an unmarried 19 year young man to his own cousin who was only 14. The host was friendly, professional, and made it adamantly clear that Mark Henkel and UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy, have nothing to do with - and even outright oppose - the real crimes connected to Jeffs and the FLDS. As this was during the same week as Thanksgiving holiday in the US, the host made some fun final comments at the end about imagining the "holiday table" of polygamists.
