Hey, it's Kramer, and this is my morning take on the market from today's CMC Investing Club Morning Meeting.
00:01:08
We're kind of an interesting market today.
00:01:09
We've got rates are unchanged kind of after this PC number that the Fed thinks is wide-board, in the right oscillator, still too high that I don't want to put money on to the market.
00:01:21
I'm uncomfortable doing that, but we're seeing like a second-day thing that's happening.
00:01:28
Meta is really good.
00:01:30
It's almost like, well, Apple, which is better, is giving me a glow to a lot of tech, and I think there's a lot of people who are short tech and short Apple,
00:01:40
and that didn't work, and they're covering, and that explains this.
00:01:43
Yeah, and we've essentially erased the losses from Monday after that, miserable, open, the clothes a little bit higher than we moved off the lows off that Monday,
00:01:56
but it's obviously been a wild week, still digesting everything with DeepSeek, trying to figure out exactly what it means for AI spending, and everything around that.
00:02:08
Can we go there for once?
00:02:10
Well, no, let's go to Apple, I think Apple's.
00:02:13
Sure, because I speak to Tim Cook.
00:02:15
Pretty big company.
00:02:16
People should know.
00:02:17
I speak to Tim Cook, along with Steve Covex.
00:02:20
I have a private interview with him from 330 to about quarter of four, and I know that doesn't sound good a lot of time, but you can really get a lot of help when you talk to Tim.
00:02:29
And what I felt was a level of confidence that made it so that you understood why the stock opened up much higher.
00:02:36
I can understand what the stock's going down, because it wasn't like they blew the number out.
00:02:41
Sure.
00:02:41
It just wasn't as bad as fear.
00:02:42
Not as bad as fear.
00:02:44
Not as bad as fear.
00:02:44
And that's what it is, so you can say, well, I don't want to buy a stock that's not as bad as fear, but they're obviously if you're short to stock, you didn't get to home on your expect.
00:02:52
Yeah, but look, it was a top-of-line bottom beat, despite iPhone sales down 1% China was bad as we figured, right?
00:02:58
This is China bad.
00:03:00
That's iPhone.
00:03:00
That's right.
00:03:01
But I think the key thing here is that Cook did say that markets where Apple intelligence is available, they are seeing outperformance of the iPhone 16.
00:03:11
They're going to roll it out with more languages in April, more...
00:03:14
That was the key thing.
00:03:15
Because we hope that they get buy-new, say, as the partner in China.
00:03:20
It's not a reason China yet.
00:03:22
Right.
00:03:22
So the thinking is once it is approved there, you'll start to see better performance in China.
00:03:28
And while you're taking a lot of share.
00:03:31
Guidance for March, not as bad as fear.
00:03:33
They guided for low-to-mid single-digit revenue growth.
00:03:36
That incorporates FX headwinds of 2.5% points, services still growing, and that's obviously the huge part of the story too.
00:03:42
But I think the market's a little bit less worried about the June quarter now, right?
00:03:47
That's exactly right.
00:03:48
Start your day with my outlook on the market every morning.
