Outlines

The Genesis of Creation
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was initially empty and dark, but God's Spirit was present. On the first day, God created light and separated it from darkness. On the second day, God created a space to separate the waters, calling it sky. On the third day, He gathered the waters to reveal dry ground, naming it land and the waters seas. He then commanded the land to produce plants and trees.

Celestial Bodies, Life, and Humanity
The fourth day saw God create lights in the sky to mark days and nights, including the sun, moon, and stars. On the fifth day, He filled the waters with fish and the skies with birds. On the sixth day, God created land animals of all kinds. He then created man in His own image, forming him from dust and breathing life into him. He also created woman from man's rib.

Blessing, Dominion, and Rest
God blessed man and woman, commanding them to be fruitful, multiply, and rule over the earth, its creatures, and plants. He designated plants and fruits for their food and green plants for animals. God reviewed all His creation and found it very good. The creation of the heavens, earth, and everything within them was complete. On the seventh day, God rested from His work and blessed the day as holy.
