Crystin Gilmore returns to SpeakEasy as Bea in Jaja's African Hair Braiding having previously appeared as Shug Avery in The Color Purple (a role for which she won an IRNE Award & Arts Impulse Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), and as Headmistress Frances in School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play (for which she shared a 2020 Elliot Norton Award Best Ensemble nomination). When not on stage, Crystin can be found directing, doing voiceover work, teaching acting classes via her company The Craft, or on her podcast POVwCrystinGilmore.
Ashley Ha is a 20-year-old Taiwanese American performer, content creator, and activist. She is most known as the founder of the widely recognized Broadway Instagram account broadway_corner. Ashley also attends Boston Conservatory, where she majors in musical theatre. She advocates for representation onstage, onscreen, and in the media.
