We live in a culture that wants to ‘cut to the chase’—to skip the process and get straight to the result. But in Exodus 13, God takes Israel the long way out of Egypt, protecting them from battles they aren’t ready for and teaching them to trust Him. In our own lives, God’s route is often slower than we want, but it’s always the one that shapes our hearts and builds lasting faith.
