Episode 1, "Need to Know" summary: Explores the security clearance process as well as the pros and cons of a security clearance on an Acquisition career. Mentoring Circles allows the acquisition workforce to hear from and connect with their peers via a monthly podcast. The workforce provides input to the podcast’s host on their successes, challenges, and frustrations via email (mentoring.circles@dau.edu) and then the DAU team curates the comments for a panel discussion. The panel includes peer members of the functional area, academic and career advisors, and program leadership.  Listeners can receive a certificate for 1-CLP by listening to the podcast, reflecting on the podcast, emailing mentoring.circles@dau.edu saying they listened to the podcast and providing an idea for a future podcast.
